Often the manufacturing constraints affect the final design.

The client had existing equipment to make large blow-molded parts. It was a requirement that this product could be made using that process.

Although other methods might have been useful, in this example, blow molding allowed an extremely appropriate form to be developed. The tube was formed in one piece and waste removed from the center section to allow the two halves to fit together.
